The World is Hurting

There is so much going on right now it is really hard to comprehend sometimes.  Anger, Fear, Hate, Racism, Bigotry, and pure Evil seems to be surrounding us at every corner.  It’s scary.  It’s scary for us and it’s scary for our beautiful children and future generations.

What do we do?

We pray.  We get down on our knees and we pray.  We pray for peace.  We pray for enlightening. We pray for forgiveness. We pray for salvation. We pray for a still mind – one that does not live perpetually in fear and worry.  We pray for an active heart – one that seeks out truth, love and redemption. We pray for the guidance and ability to take action and where necessary make a change – for right now, for our future, and for futures to come.  We pray for hope – amidst utter destruction and devastation. We pray for protection – that man might STOP hating, STOP killing and STOP hurting.

And while we pray we go on with life, and we love the best we can.

Not being a religious person, I do, nonetheless, admire your resolve. I just wish people turned that resolve into action and made an effort, day by day, to change the world they live in.

    1. Oh I do agree with you there. And that is the problem with these quick little posts sometimes. They are no totally complete, just a snippet of my thoughts perhaps. My fault. 😊For me, prayer is often the catalyst for action. With prayer comes guidance and hopefully a resolve to take action and/or make a change. Thank you for your thoughts and perspective.

Sometimes we minimize the power of prayer, we often say “it’s the least we can do”–but truly it’s the BEST thing we can do. I can’t solve the world’s problems–or even my own; but I pray to a powerful Almighty God of Love and Justice–and I’m confident He hears and acts. May He bless you abundantly today 🙂

We must keep our eyes on Jesus. “Trust and obey; there’s no other way,” as the old hymn says. I do not know how that people who do not trust in God can make it through each day. Thank you for your follow and your insights.

    1. I am so thankful for the blessing of faith in Him. I certainly don’t know why things are happening but at least I can have peace knowing they are in His divine control. God bless. ❤

Along with, Hear No Evil, See No Evil and Speak No Evil there should now be a fourth, Do No Evil ! If we could just sink that into the heart and mind of mankind along with Hug as often as you can, the world would be a better place.
